Hello There!
Growing up, Rachil always knew that she wanted to be an artist. All it took to set her on the path of animation was an animation test screening. She remembers watching the partly completed film with its pencil storyboards and rough animation and she thought to herself, “this is going to take over my life”.

Rachil Cavanaugh is an LA-based artist with a passion for animation and visual development. Her specialties consist of expressive & dynamic character acting and visual storytelling through character & environment design. She loves collaborating to create compelling stories for a variety of projects. Her career in animation first began in 2020 with her admittance into CSULB’s BFA program for Animation. Her experience includes working on the Student Film “Sprout” (2022) as a storyboard artist and animator, along with directing and leading her team in completing her Senior Film "Stitching Fate".
When she’s not working on her Cintiq, Rachil can be found spending time with her dogs (Leia & Darth) going on long strolls through her neighborhood. Along with her animal sidekicks she enjoys visual storytelling from classic adventure films to fantasy novels. Rachil hopes to have the stories and shows she watched growing up be the inspiration as she takes on the ever-growing challenge of creating her own.
